Harmony was born to be a working dog. She excelled in Conformation and Obedience, but her favorite activity was Herding. She could move livestock all day long and still want to work into the night if needed. She wasn't afraid of much in life. Every thunderstorm, she would run to the window and challenge each thunderclap with a bark of her own. At a police K-9 demonstration, she charged out to help the police dog take down the "bad guy".  Only 2 things in life could unnerve her. One was linoleum, she absolutely hated to walk on it. She would refuse to cross it unless I laid down towels for her to step on. The second thing was water, she absolutely hated to get her feet wet. Trips to the river or beach would find her on dry land, enjoying the loathsome water from a distance.
She didn't care much for motherhood. She would feed and clean up after her little ones, but preferred to leave the majority of her duties to her closest "buddy" Jasmine, who was more than thrilled to take over. She and Jasmine did most everything together and were never far from each other's side.
After Jasmine's early and tragic death from cancer, Harmony seemed to want to spend more of her time in quiet solitude. She perked up a bit when Chance came into our lives, and would play with him when the mood struck her, but the majority of the time our "grumpy" old lady spent her time in a sunny spot on the lawn, watching the world go by. She lived a full and happy life, until finally joining her Jasmine over the Rainbow Bridge.
